so danny has two friends who live in berlin and were here this weekend unpacking a storage unit that they have in bmore. they can't take their stuff back to berlin, so they pretty much just gave it all to danny.

one of his friends was a dj so we have 7 crates of vinyl in our living room. books and clothes and music equipment. it's nuts.

and i got a new record player. and it's totally sweet.

just another night

this is one of my very favorite songs. i remember putting on the scratchy album and listening to it in my living room in pittsburgh (above) on sunny, young spring days like today. it was a good feeling.

it's so good to have time to cook again. so last night i made a big yummy vegan dinner. seitan, brussel sprouts, sun-dried tomatoes, and kale braised in veggie broth and red wine. with brown rice. i love cooking. with a glass of wine in my hand. with danny playing me david bowie youtube videos.

wye oak and jana hunter

so last night danny took me on a surprise trip to frederick. he didn't tell me why we were going, but when we got there he told me that the only theatre still playing avatar in 3D in the state of maryland was in frederick. so i was thinking, uhhh ok i didnt know danny wanted to see avatar so much but ok... so we're driving around looking for the theatre, so i believe. it's 9:45 and he tells me it starts at 10 but if we get there 15 min early we get special edition 3D glasses. okaaaay

so we park and as we're getting out of the car he says, ok actually jana hunter and wye oak are playing a show and we're going to see it.
so unbeknownst to me he took me to an awesome show at an awesome cafe in frederick. and it was totally sweet.
